When Calls the Heart took a different turn from the previous episodes this season and gave us a number of glimpses into different lives of the residents of Hope Valley. This episode ended with some lose ends that will hopefully be tied together in the next episode.

It’s always fun to see the kids of Hope Valley. In this episode we saw Cody and two of the children learn about friendship. We still don’t know if the group found the spyglass, but my guess is they did or this will be continued in the next episode.

Something I think we have all been waiting a while for now, espically since the start of this season, is Carter and Faith. We finally saw them share their feelings with each other, with much thanks to Lee and Rosemary. It will be fun to watch their relationship develop.

One of my favorite parts of this season is the ways in which we are getting to watch the town grow. This episode brought complaints about the new saloon. While the complaints were warranted, the argument for later hours was also valid as it gave many of the residents the chance to go to the salllon after a long work day. In typical Hope Valley fashion, Mayor Stanton had a plan to bring the residents together.

A lot is surely happening in Hope Valley. The preview for the next episode looks like waves will be made again as a new Mountie comes to Hope Valley.
