I enjoy many of Natalie Grant’s songs, so I was instantly interested in reading her book Finding Your Voice. As the subtitle of this book What Every Woman Needs to Live Her God-Given Passions Out Loud implies, this book was written for woman, however, I wanted to read Natalie’s story anyway.

In this book, Natalie shares personal stories as well as Biblical ones. There are multiple lessons communicated through this book to help the reader find their own unique passions and callings.

Natalie is a working mom, wife, artist, and abolitionist, so she has had to live out what she is writing about. What many may not know is Natalie has had to emerge from her own dark spiral of suffocating inadequacy. She has found fresh hope in the truth that God has already given women everything they need to live out their God-given identity, passions, and calling.

While I wish this book wasn’t geared just to woman, I found Natalie to be authentic and engaging. I was encouraged by her story and the lessons she wrote about. While this book was different from what I had expected it to be going into it, it was still worth reading and a book I’m glad I took time to read.
