Over the holidays my family and I took time to spend together going to a couple different movies at our local theater. This is something we hadn't done together in a long time (I actually hadn't gone to a movie at the theater for a few years). I had forgotten how much fun it is to watch a movie on a big screen.

More importantly, I had been working on my goals for the coming year and realized I don't give myself permission to stop working and live life. That realization hit me and was something I wanted to work on changing. I remember walking out of the theater feeling relaxed and renewed because I allowed myself the time to stop and relax. On top of that, I got to do something with my parents and we had a great time together! I also forgot how awesome movie theater popcorn is! 🙂

While we were at the theater, I remember seeing a preview for Forever My Girl, which is a movie trailer that had come across my desk a few days before we went to the theater. The movie, which I'm planning on seeing when it comes out, tells the story of music super-star Liam Page (Alex Roe) who left his bride, Josie (Jessica Rothe), at the altar choosing fame and fortune instead. However, Liam never got over Josie, his one true love, nor did he ever forget his Southern roots in the small community where he was born and raised. When he unexpectedly returns to his hometown for the funeral of his high school best friend, Liam is suddenly faced with the consequences of all that he left behind. Forever My Girl is an uplifting romantic film about second chances. It releases in theaters on January 19th. If you want to see if this movie may be one you want to see, here is the trailer.
